Prophecy 3
This lesson continues our series in the
Laws of Torah Foundations
by Maimonides
(Y.T. 7:5-6).
This lesson specifically details the prophetic stature of Moshe Rabbeynu,
and how he was the greatest prophet of all time.
This stature did not come about haphazardly. Moshe was taken to another
"place" off our world in order to there receive the Torah.
Something happened to him there; he was changed, altered down to the
cellular level. He ascended as a mere mortal human being and descended as
something transformed.
Torah states that his skin glowed and that his mind was in a constant state
of union with HaShem. He no longer needed the prophetic trance, his whole
life was one of connection.
This lesson discusses these things in detail and more. It is an excellent
compliment and part 3 continuation in our discussion of the parameters of
prophecy.
